ABEL Power and Control Solutions Ltd specialises in the design, manufacture and commissioning of integrated solutions for the control and monitoring of process plant, incorporating multiple speed drives, servo drives, PLCs, HMIs and SCADA systems.
We need a part time (28 hours) accountant to join the team and support our growing ambitions. If you are accurate, systematic, consistent, confident, self-reliant and have high standards we want to talk with you!
Key Responsibilities and Key Results Areas:
- Sales and Purchase ledger management
- Credit Control
- P11D processing
- Preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts including variance analysis to budget and reforecast and commentary
- Preparation of the annual budget and monthly reforecast
- Cashflow forecasting and management
- Nominal ledger management including processing journals and month-end adjustments.
- Performing balance sheet reconciliations and VAT returns
- Liaising with external auditors as and when required
- Payroll submission to external payroll company
- Review monthly financial results with the Directors, ensuring all issues are documented and appropriate actions agreed
- Recommend streamlining the processes where appropriate and highlight any potential problem areas
-Other ad hoc duties as required
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- AAT Qualified
- Strong Sage skills are essential
- Be commercial minded with relevant commercial experience.
- Excellent attitude to work, with the enthusiasm to want to learn
- High level of Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot tables, vLookups, etc.) and
